Fri. 17 April 2026 20:30

Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall
Christos Lambrakis Hall

Born and raised in Portugal and now residing in cosmopolitan London, the young conductor, Dinis Sousa is one of the most rapidly rising conductors of the last years: one by one, the world's top symphonic ensembles seek to collaborate with him; his capacity to materialize his so inventive musical visions always impress and compel admiration. In his debut with the Athens State Orchestra, he shall present two distinct works of the American 20th century, thus honoring the 250 anniversary from the declaration of the American Independence. In addition, the top composer, Christos Samaras's work, composed for the Athens State Orchestra, and Beethoven's ageless Concerto No. 1 for piano, performed by the soloist Manos Kitsikopoulos, complete a high- standard and emotive program for all tastes!
