Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall
Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall

Violin and piano. Two instruments that have proved to be perfect companions and gifted us countless exhilarating musical exchanges. The Principal A' of the First Violins and deputy Concertmaster of the Athens State Orchestra, Nikos Mandilas, joins forces with the distinguished pianist Popi Malapani in an evening awash with Greek names. The concert opens with Dimitri Mitropoulos' masterly transcription of Johann Sebastian Bach's Third Partita for solo violin. This is followed by Yannis Constantinidis' Dodecanese Suite, which makes respectful and sensitive use of traditional Greek music.
