Megaron Concert Hall Gardens

Beethoven's First Symphony strikes an ideal balance between tradition and innovation. It follows the classical models of the great Haydn and Mozart symphonies, while simultaneously containing the germs of all the startling innovations that would soon be making an appearance in the great German composer's subsequent symphonies. The Athens State Orchestra will be performing this masterpiece of symphonic music, so full of grace and boundless energy, in this year's Festival of Music in the Grounds of the Athens Megaron Concert Hall. On the podium , the up-and-coming conductor Katia Molfesis will be taking the reins of the performance.
