Bio

Demetra Angelopoulos was born in Greece, and raised in Canada, studying both piano and violin. Awarded her Diplôme from the Athens Conservatory under I. Carter, she received her Master of Music Degree in 1988 from the University of Toronto, under the tutelage of Professor Lorand Fenyves. Having participated as member of many International Youth Orchestras, including the E.C.Y.O., she also taught at two Athens Conservatories for 20 years. She has been a member of the first violin section of the Athens State Orchestra since 1990.
